ALT KSA Champions Future of Saudi Live Production Talent with Landmark Showcase at Production Park

ALT KSA has delivered a landmark live production showcase with trainees from Saudi Arabia, developed in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Layail Media. Held at Production Park’s Studio 001, the programme gave learners hands-on experience across every aspect of theatrical production - supporting Vision 2030 and setting a new benchmark for industry-connected training in the Kingdom.

The Academy of Live Technology (ALT), a global leader in technical training for live events production, proudly delivered a major showcase event marking the culmination of a four-week intensive programme designed to equip the next generation of Saudi talent with world-class theatrical production skills.

A Global Stage for Emerging Talent

Held at Studio 001 – Production Park’s iconic rehearsal venue that has hosted global stars such as Beyoncé, Coldplay, and the many of the world’s largest acts – the event highlighted the capability and creativity of ALT learners, many of whom were first-time trainees from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The programme was delivered in partnership with the Saudi Ministry of Culture and Layail Media, underlining the Kingdom’s commitment to developing its cultural and creative sectors in line with Vision 2030.

Immersive, Real-World Experience

From scenic construction and lighting to sound, costume, and stage management, trainees worked across every element of the show’s delivery – a high-energy production designed not just as entertainment, but as a statement of cross-cultural collaboration and technical excellence. The immersive model ensured learners were placed at the heart of a real-world production environment, guided by ALT’s expert instructors and Production Park’s seasoned technical team.

“This is more than a show – it’s a statement,” said Lee Brooks, CEO of Production Park. “It’s a demonstration of what happens when immersive training meets cutting-edge infrastructure. Our Saudi learners haven’t just completed a programme – they’ve run a show in one of the UK’s most iconic studios. That’s the ALT difference.”

Key to the success of the production was the support of Creative Technology, whose state-of-the-art equipment and technical mentoring enabled trainees to work with the same systems used by international tours and festivals. From advanced video and lighting setups to playback and show control, their contribution was critical in achieving the professional polish of the final performance.

In addition, TAIT, one of the world’s foremost staging and automation companies, provided both training and complex technical systems that gave learners exposure to industry-standard automation equipment. Trainees participated in a specialist workshop at TAIT’s UK facility and then applied that learning directly in-show using equipment including a Type A Scissor Lift and automated Kabuki reveal – operated entirely by trainees under professional guidance.

While CAPA College supported the artistic performance aspects of the show, ALT’s focus remained on technical training. The production provided an authentic platform for ALT learners to operate as crew and production leads in a high-pressure, real-time environment – a hallmark of ALT’s approach to skills development.

With training programmes now expanding across the UK, United States, and Saudi Arabia, ALT’s model of immersive, industry-connected learning is increasingly resonating with both learners and institutional partners worldwide.

“ALT is here to build talent that’s ready for industry – not in theory, but in practice,” said Matt Glynn, Head of International Training at ALT. “Our goal is to provide Saudi learners with the tools, confidence, and real-world experience they need to thrive – whether on shows like this or across the Kingdom’s rapidly growing entertainment and cultural sectors.”

As Saudi Arabia continues to accelerate its investment in the performing arts, ALT stands ready to partner on training programmes that are scalable, practical, and capable of delivering tangible results. The success of this initiative is a clear signal of what’s possible when global expertise meets national ambition.
